Join us in the Stagecoach Tavern as we highlight a Civil War officer from the village of Fallsington. Local resident Captain Samuel Comfort served the Union Army during the conflict and even mustered a troop of cavalry in Meetinghouse Square in early July 1863. As part of this special program, we will feature some of the personal items in our collection associated with him and the 20th Pennsylvania Volunteer Cavalry, in which he served. This is a unique opportunity to see original items from that era; learn more about this fascinating Fallsington native; and explore the roles he and other men from the area played at Camp Couch & later during General U.S. Grant's Overland Campaign in the summer of 1864.
Fee: $10/person or $8/person for HFI members (includes the special program and tour of our historic buildings); advanced registration requested but not required.
