Livingston Symphony Orchestra: "The Color of Nature"

Livingston Symphony Orchestra Concert: “The Color of Nature” Exciting News for Maestro Anthony LaGruth and the nonprofit Livingston Symphony Orchestra as they prepare for their upcoming Sunday April 12, 2pm concert, “The Color of Nature”! The venue for this and their final concert is the beautiful Concert Hall at Drew University, Dorothy Young Center of the Arts, 36 Madison Ave., Madison. The dedicated members of this respected group of professional and semi-professional musicians span three generations and come from all walks of life. They look forward to performing Gustav Mahler’s groundbreaking, glorious “Symphony No.1 in D Major” for you on April 12 at 2pm. Audience members can anticipate experiencing the sounds of an emergent spring, the contrast of peasant dancing and Viennese waltzing, a heart wrenching version of the tune Frere Jacques, and finally a moving, stormy last movement that encompasses everything from turmoil to triumph. Watch and listen for seven French horns, birds in song, off stage trumpet calls, and multiple wind instruments raising their bells! Tickets for this exciting live musical program are free for children under 12, $15 for students and seniors, and $25 for adults, and will be available at the door or through the orchestra’s website, www.lsonj.org. Further information on the orchestra and this performance can also be found on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/lsonj, Instagram @njlivingstonsymphonyorchestra, or by calling (973)980-1809.
