Little Somethings Press “Motherhood Anthology” and “Motherings Zine” Launch
On Saturday, May 30 at 1 p.m., Little Somethings Press and Revisionary Arts will host the launch of a new handmade anthology and accompanying zine focused on motherhood, caregiving, and creative life at the Tempe History Museum.
The Little Somethings Press “Motherhood Anthology” and “Motherings Zine” Launch was supported by a Next Wave Grant from the City of Tempe Community Arts Grant program and features readings and artwork from Arizona-based artist-mothers whose work explores the emotional, physical, and creative realities of motherhood. The event is free and open to the public.
Featured participants include Dr. Rosemarie Dombrowski, inaugural Poet Laureate of Phoenix and founder of Revisionary Arts; Sophia McGovern, founder and editor of Little Somethings Press; and artist/curator/ASU assistant teaching professor Ashley Czajkowski, whose interdisciplinary work has been exhibited nationally. Organizers and contributors are available for interviews before the event.
The project was developed through workshops and collaborations designed to amplify the voices of artist-mothers and strengthen connections within the Tempe arts community.
