Literary Nights
Literary Nights is a literary open mic night, open to all. We cultivate a low-pressure, welcoming
environment for readers and guests of all skill levels and literary experience to share their
stories and poems. We encourage BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+, and other marginalized voices to take
the mic at Literary Nights.
We want to provide a forum for local writers and storytellers to take the stage in downtown
Issaquah to entertain, amuse, enlighten. Though our city is home to a wide number of writers,
we currently do not have local showcases for emerging talent, and often have to travel to
Seattle for such opportunities. The central location and stunning visual space of the Issaquah
Train Depot is an ideal spot for Issaquah and Eastside writers and readers to gather to enjoy
telling and listening to each other’s stories.
