"Lit Lunches" present nationally-known authors for intimate talks and gourmet lunch, prepared at Frenchtown's FiNNBAR by bestselling cookbook author and former Chez Panisse head chef Cal Peternell.
This Lit Lunch features acclaimed poet and poetry teacher Edward Hirsch, who gave an unforgettably witty and genial talk at the Bookshop earlier this summer. Eddie, the author of the national bestseller "How to Read a Poem and Fall in Love with Poetry" and ten poetry collections, is one of America's most beloved guides to poetry. He is also a MacArthur "Genius Grant" recipient and president of the Guggenheim Fellowship. And, he is deliciously funny, as can be seen in his new memoir-in-comic-vignettes, "My Childhood In Pieces: A Stand-Up Comedy, A Skokie Elegy."
The reservation ($55) includes a participatory talk by Edward Hirsch, a delicious lunch, and a signed copy of "My Childhood in Pieces."
