As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of America's founding, join local historian Jim Segrave-Daly for a lively discussion of the Declaration of Independence and the contentious debates in the Continental Congress that led to the creation of one of the world's most significant documents, written over 17 days in mid-June 1776 by Thomas Jefferson.
Jim (thelocalhistorygeek.com) has presented to libraries & civic organizations nationwide. His family first settled in Manatawny in 1649. He has deep family ties to the Revolution & is an active member of the Radnor Historical Society, the Pennsylvania Society of Sons of the Revolution, the American Revolution Roundtable of Philadelphia, America250PADelco, Founding Forward, & a volunteer history teacher.
