Life in the Eucharist Retreat

$55 per person St. John the Apostle Building 300 As the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and all dioceses continue in the third year of the National Eucharist Revival – the Year of Parish Revival, San Pedro Spiritual Development Center is offering the Life in the Eucharist Retreat. Life in the Eucharist (LITE) is a work of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament and was introduced into the Diocese of Orlando by Fr. George Dunne, SSS, at St. Stephen parish in Winter Springs while he was assigned there as Parochial Vicar. The LITE program is a lay directed experience of Eucharistic spirituality designed to assist Catholics to deepen their understanding of the Eucharist through reflection, study and personal witness. The first LITE weekend took place at St. Stephen in the fall of 2012; since then, over 400 parishioners at St. Stephen and more than 600 parishioners from other diocesan parishes have participated in the program. Life in the Eucharist presents five specific topics which open up the riches of the Eucharist as Celebration, Contemplation, and Communion. This approach offers a comprehensive view of the Eucharistic mystery. The five topics include Eucharist as Nourishment, Reconciliation, Transformation, Abiding Presence, and Mission. The discussions, teachings and witnesses that are presented during the weekend are presented by LITE team members and Fr. George Dunne, SSS. The weekend begins with the first session on Friday evening, four sessions on Saturday and closes with the celebration of Mass. The weekend will include time for quiet reflection in the beautiful natural environment of San Pedro. We are happy to welcome Fr.
