Lecture/Demonstration with Mir Naqibul Islam, tabla
Visiting Artist-in-Residence Mir Naqibul Islam shares the historical background of the tabla, how it has evolved, and how it is used to create music across genres. Mir will present a traditional North Indian classical tabla solo performance, with harmonium accompaniment by Tomal Hossain.
