Learn the tarot with Librarian and third-generation tarot reader Wesley Sueker! This mini-course of three sessions will introduce you to the structure and meaning of tarot and get you started in reading your own cards. This series doesn’t require any particular set of beliefs, and you are encouraged to build your own connection with cards in whatever way feels right to you.
Week 1: Introduction to the cards – structure, symbols and seeing
Week 2: Forging meaning – balancing intuition and story
Week 3: Multi-card spreads – weaving threads between
Please plan on attending all three sessions, as the sessions will build upon each other! The library will provide a tarot deck for each participant, or you are welcome to bring your own.

Wesley Sueker has been reading tarot for over 10 years. Learning on a classic Rider-Waite-Smith deck inherited from his grandmother, he has centered his secular practice around exploring the artistic, mathematical and literary symbolism present in the tarot. He believes in tarot as a tool for exercising human creativity and the power of self-constructed meaning.
