Grammy Award-winning Laurie Anderson is one of America's most renowned - and daring - creative pioneers. Known primarily for her multimedia presentations, she has cast herself in roles as varied as visual artist, composer, poet, photographer, filmmaker, electronics whiz, vocalist, and instrumentalist.
Martha Mooke is a Grammy Award-winning, pioneering electric violist/composer, highly regarded for her artistry, music advocacy, and innovative educational programs. Since 2001, she has performed in the Tibet House Benefit Concerts at Carnegie Hall produced by Philip Glass and Laurie Anderson performing with David Bowie, Philip Glass, Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, Phoebe Bridgers and many others.
Grammy Award-winning Steven Bernstein has been on the New York scene over the past 30 years, as trumpeter, composer, arranger and bandleader with his bands Sexmob, Millennial Territory Orchestra, Diaspora Soul, Universal Melody Brass Band, Spanish Fly, Blue Campfire and the Butler-Bernstein Hot 9. A former member of the Lounge Lizards and Levon Helm's Midnight Ramble Band, Bernstein has also composed works for film, theater and dance.
Tenzin Choegyal is an acclaimed Tibetan artist whose music bridges ancestral tradition and contemporary expression. Raised in exile and now based in Australia, he channels his lineage through his art-shaping powerful compositions and serving as an ambassador for Tibetan culture and stories. He is a regular collaborator with Laurie Anderson and Philip Glass, among others.
