Lakewood Ranch Wind Ensemble Spring Concert
The spring concert features a jazz-inspired arrangement by Sammy Nestico of Man with the Horn, with Joe Miller, solo trumpet. Also on the program: Thunder and Blazes march, Chorale and Shaker Melody, pieces by Alfred Reed and Paul Hindemith, and a Wizard of Oz medley arranged for wind ensemble by James Barnes.
Lakewood Ranch Wind Ensemble formed in 2019 as a premier ensemble dedicated to performing the finest wind ensemble literature at a professional level. Our talented musicians volunteer their talents to share the enjoyment of high-quality music-making and support the preservation of band literature. We perform 3-4 times a year throughout Sarasota and LWR.
