Lake Murray's Independence Day Celebration
Hosted by Capital City/Lake Murray Country and presented by Lexington Health, this annual patriotic celebration brings thousands of residents and visitors to Lake Murray for an unforgettable evening of fireworks, family traditions, and summertime memories on the water.
Recognized by Southern Living as one of the “Top 10 Places to Celebrate the 4th of July Like a Local” and named one of the “Best July 4th Events Across the South” by StyleBlueprint, Lake Murray’s Independence Day Celebration continues to shine as one of the Southeast’s premier Independence Day events.
This celebration will feature two spectacular fireworks shows launched from Spence and Dreher Islands over Lake Murray. Spectators are encouraged to experience the fireworks by boat for the full Lake Murray experience, but several land-based viewing opportunities will also be available.
