Lactation 101: Supporting Your Journey with Care and Confidence

Are you expecting and feeling curious, excited, or maybe a little anxious about breastfeeding? You’re not alone, and all of those feelings are completely normal. Join Elle Murphy, MSW, LSW, Certified Postpartum Doula, for a nurturing workshop designed to support both your physical and emotional well-being as you prepare for breastfeeding.
Together, we’ll explore how your amazing body works to nourish your baby, learn gentle techniques for successful breastfeeding, and discuss how to advocate for your breastfeeding goals in the hospital. We’ll also cover pumping education and, importantly, address the emotional aspects of the breastfeeding journey—including managing expectations, coping with challenges, and protecting your mental health during this significant transition.
This workshop creates a safe, supportive space where you can ask questions, share concerns, and build confidence in your ability to make the best choices for you and your baby. Remember: fed is best, and your mental health matters just as much as your feeding goals.
Come as you are—with all your hopes, worries, and questions. You’ll leave feeling more prepared, supported, and empowered for whatever your feeding journey brings.
