La Voix Humaine (1958) is a one-act, one-woman opera composed by Francis Poulenc. Based on the play written by Jean Cocteau, La Voix Humaine taps into an intimate conversation between separated lovers.
This immersive experience will be held at the Mirasol on Davis Island. The Mirasol, originally a 1920s luxury hotel, remains the “crown jewel” of Davis Islands. Guests will be able to be a part of the set and scenery as the opera unfolds around them.
Our adaptation glances into the life of a retired Hollywood actress in 1940s Paris amid this painful separation, battling the consequences of her career and her relationships.
