About Kīpapa Rush Band (KRB):
In the early 1980s, the Kīpapa Rush Band emerged during a pivotal era in Hawaiian music's evolution. The band recorded its first "album" (vinyl) and cassette titled "Hardly Working" in 1985 at Studio Hawaii on King Street, earning a Na Hōkū Hanohano award in 1986 as the "most promising group of the year!"

- Herb Lee, Jr. (Ukulele)
- Ocean Kaowili (bass)
- Wayne Reis (slack key)
Musical Legacy:
The KRB played statewide, captivating audiences with their unique sound and earning the title of the most promising group of the year. Ocean and George later joined the Sons of Hawaii, while the KRB recorded their second "CD" in 1994 titled "Hawaiian Rush."
