Kiwanis Peanut Day
Kiwanis Club of West Racine invites the community to Kiwanis Peanut Day on Saturday, Oct. 5. Proceeds will benefit local youth organizations.
Kiwanians and Racine County 4-H Club members will hand out bags of delicious peanuts and accept donations from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at these locations:
• Spring Street Piggly Wiggly, 5600 Spring St., Racine
• Erie Street Piggly Wiggly, 3900 N. Erie St., Racine
• Union Grove Piggly Wiggly, 4400 67th Dr., Union Grove
• Berkot’s Super Foods, 690 W. State St., Burlington
• Tractor Supply Co., 1801 Milwaukee Ave., Burlington
In addition, the Kiwanis are now taking orders boxes of peanuts for donation to military personnel deployed overseas through Operation Support Our Troops America (OSOTA). The OSOTA includes the peanuts in “care packages” that are delivered to the armed forces.
Each box of peanuts contains 48 individual packages and costs $20. The boxes may be designated for OSOTA or for local delivery.
