K-Classic Masters: David Kim and Friends (June 23, 2022)
Join us for K-Classic Masters: David Kim and Friends a new classical concert program on Thursday, June 23 at 6:30 p.m. at the historic Dumbarton House in Washington, D.C., featuring Concertmaster and Philadelphia Orchestra Violinist David Kim and his quartet.
This event marks the launch of a new classical music series in 2022 that will showcase excellent Korean and Korean-heritage musicians active in major American orchestras, as part of the KCCDC's longstanding K-Classic series. Please join us for an evening of familiar and reimagined classical music followed by an elegant Korean cuisine reception with the artists.
The David Kim Quartet comprises Philadelphia Orchestra musicians David Kim (Concertmaster and Violin), Anna Marie Ahn Petersen (Viola), Priscilla Lee (Associate Principal Cello), and Jeffrey DeVault (Piano). The concert program, with some original arrangements, includes C. Gounod - Ave Maria, J. Brahms - Sonatensatz, and J. Brahms - Piano Quartet in G minor.
