Juneteenth at TJC Gallery
Join TJC on Thursday, June 19, for a gallery talk at 6:30 PM. The talk will feature a special look inside the African American artists in Art of the Athlete. Given by TJC Summer Graduate Fellow Danelle Bernten, Esq.., it will examine how athletics and the arts merged in their lives and/or work.
Highlighted Artists include: Aaron Douglas, William Cooper, Jacob Lawrence, Romare Bearden, Ernie Barnes, Sam Gilliam, Clementine Hunter, and Hughie Lee-Smith.
