Joy of Jazz featuring "The Strangeways" A Jamaican Style Jazz Ensemble
On Sunday January 14 enjoy an afternoon of jazz at the Gazebo in Centennial Park, Venice featuring the Strangeways, a Jamaican Style Jazz Ensemble. The Strangeways band has been performing around Florida and beyond for 30 years, performing from Key West to Portland, ME.. They have been on two national tours and produced two CDs. The powerful rhythm section and horns combined with an original sound makes Strangeways’s shows memorable and fun. This is a FREE concert co-sponsored by the Gulf Coast Community Foundation and the Jazz Club of Sarasota that benefits the scholarship program of the Jazz Club of Sarasota. With a playground for the young ones, it is a fun afternoon for the entire family. Bring chairs for seating and sun screen. From 2 - 4 pm Centennial Park, 200 W. Venice Ave, Venice, FL.
