John Nilsen Solo Piano Holiday Shows
2024 Oregon Music Hall of Fame inductee and YAMAHA Piano artist, John Nilsen, performs four solo piano holiday shows at the intimate Lake Theater in Lake Oswego. There are four Shows: Thursday, Dec. 19, 2 and 7 pm shows and Friday, Dec. 20, 2 and 7 pm shows. John Nilsen, who has performed in all fifty U.S. States, and on four continents, and sold well over one million CDs, will perform form his vast repertoire weaving classical, jazz, folk and rock (even boogie-woogie). Selections will be plentiful and Nilsen always shares some hilarious stories from his touring around the globe. Rolling Stone and Allman Brothers pianist Chuck Leavell writes of John Nilsen, "I really enjoyed listening to your composition, Plastic Art. Really nice piano work, man. You're doing good, you do rock." Keyboard Magazine adds, "The musicianship is flawless." Willamette Week states, "John Nilsen is one of those unclassifiable artists that seems to be a NW specialty. This show is highly recommended." The Oregonian says, "John Nilsen's career is the envy of many musicians."
