The artist paints on site, setting her easel up on the vein of rocks known as Puddingstone a compressed volcanic quartz embedded in long granite slabs that are 250 million years old. Jessica Hagen states, “From Hanging Rock to Elephant Rock, Jill interprets the effects of light and climate upon this iconic piece of coastline for which Aquidneck Island is so loved.
