Join us on SATURDAY, JUNE 7th from 1-3 PM as we kick off our summer programing with Jazz On The Porch!
We welcome Kahlil Kwame Bell, renowned percussionist, composer, bandleader and producer to perform with an accompanist and speak on the history of jazz.
Bell has worked with many artists including Robert Flack, Luther Vandeross, The Artist Formally Known as Prince, Erykah Badu, Rick Ross, and many more. His musical output varies from jazz to rock to hip hop; from European classical to world music; from spirituals to spoken word accompaniments. His layering of sounds and instruments, blended with unique rhythms, reflects his view of the unity of cultures through music.
This event will take place at the Homestead: 2 Museum Ln., Waterford, NY 12188 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
Bring your lawn blankets and chairs. We will have refreshments but feel free to bring your own picnics.
