The film uses striking archival footage to capture Baldwin's formative years. Newsreel clips and Baldwin's running commentary place his work in the context of African American literature and the Civil Rights movement. Following the screening, George Mason University Professor Keith Clark will lead a discussion with the audience. For adults. Reasonable accommodations will be made upon request.
