It's Your Park Day
Chicago Parks Foundation Presents 10th Annual "It's Your Park Day" Volunteer Event!
Chicago Parks Foundation (CPF) is calling all volunteers to join in for their annual It’s Your Park Day (IYPD) community cleanup celebration! Dozens of parks will participate throughout the city by hosting free, family-friendly volunteer events on May 31st with activities including trash pickup, tree mulching, playground woodchip replenishment, and more.
To volunteer at an IYPD event, register from the list of participating parks on CPF’s website. All IYPD events are open to the public to join as volunteers. Event start/end times and activities vary by park - check out details for each park online and register in advance to complete a safety waiver.
IYPD events are hosted by Park Advisory Councils and community members. CPF provides complimentary events supplies and coordination to help get volunteers registered.
This year marks the CPF’s 10th annual It’s Your Park Day event, which serves as a kickoff to CPF’s ongoing season of “Pitch In for the Parks” community volunteer programming and “Green Teams” corporate giveback events, both available June through October.
