It's Magic! WMP offers a Holiday Concert and Serenade!
Join the Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic and Music Director Anna Binneweg on December 14 at 3 pm for It’s Magic: A Holiday Serenade with Joan Ellison.
This promises to be a festive program that pairs Tchaikovsky’s First Symphony “Winter Daydreams,” with a nostalgic holiday pops performance led by acclaimed vocalist Joan Ellison. Known for her deep connection to the Golden Age of American song, Ellison brings elegant, heartfelt interpretations of mid-century holiday classics—favorites made famous by Judy Garland, Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, and others. Featuring lush orchestral arrangements of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “White Christmas,” “The Christmas Waltz,” “My Favorite Things,” and more, the performance offers a glowing, nostalgic soundtrack for the season.
