As America approaches its 250th anniversary, we invite you to join us for a public conversation about the Declaration of Independence and the foundations of our Republic. Four distinguished scholars will examine the meaning of equality and natural rights and consider what role liberty should play in civic life today.
• Steven F. Hayward is a senior resident scholar at the Institute of Governmental Studies at the University of California, Berkeley.
• Vincent Phillip Muñoz is the Tocqueville Professor of Political Science and Concurrent Associate Professor of Law at the University of Notre Dame.
• Thomas G. West is the Paul Ermine Potter and Dawn Tibbetts Potter Endowed Professor in Politics and Professor of Politics at Hillsdale College.
• Michael P. Zuckert is the Nancy R. Dreux Professor of Political Science, Emeritus at the University of Notre Dame.
