Denver’s promise of access to gold in the nearby mountains drew folks from all over the world. As the city grew, more immigrants were drawn by the numerous jobs the burgeoning city offered. Among those immigrant groups, the Irish would have a profound and lasting impact. Not all of them were as famous as Margaret Brown and J. K. Mullen. The city’s first school got its start through a Dublin University graduate, Owen Goldrick. Join us for a look at the stories and places that connect us to this rich immigrant thread in the dynamic tapestry of the city’s history. While you won’t find a pot of gold at the end of the tour, we’re sure a little luck of the Irish will go home with you.
