IPCC Family Story Time: Dancing
Our final story time in April will be focused on the importance of dance in Indigenous cultures. Children will learn about traditional dances from The Butterfly Dance by Gerald Dawavendewa (Hopi) and Bowwow Powwow by Brenda Child (Ojibwe), read by Marvis Vallo (Acoma). These books teach children about the deep spiritual and cultural significance of dances in Indigenous communities and show how exciting they can be to witness or participate in.
