Learn how adding plants can prevent and turn around diabetes, heart disease, dementia, arthritis and more. Join us for a food demo by Chloe Sutliffe, BS, LMT, CHWC. The demo will be followed by a presentation by Jay Sutliffe PhD, RD, Professor of Nutrition & Foods and Director of the PRANDIAL Lab at Northern Arizona University. Jay Sutliffe, PhD, RD; Professor of Nutrition & Foods and Director of the PRANDIAL Lab. Northern Arizona University. Research interests are related to: disease prevention and reversal using non-invasive lifestyle practices, wellness across the lifespan, and lifestyle habits of college students. The courses he teaches include: Food Is Medicine, Nutrition for Sport & Wellness, Nutrition Research & Communication, Culinary Arts for Health,Global Nutrition & Foods, & Nutrition for Community Wellness. In addition to his academic experience, he has years of experience in community and residential-based health promotion programs, plant-based restaurant & health food store ownership, and broad experience working with athletes and those interested in wellness. Jay is a Registered Dietitian and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine @ NAU Student Club faculty advisor. Jay is the CFO of Full Circle of Wellness, an Arizona non-profit corporation. Chloe Sutliffe, BS, LMT, CHWC. Chloe knows her way around the kitchen! She is the culinary lab coordinator for the Health Sciences Nutrition & Foods program. She is also a Rouxbe Culinary Certified chef who has owned and operated three plant-based restaurants, taught many cooking classes, and has a passion for health. Chloe continues to assist in local interventions by guiding participants in applying dietary change and adherence practically. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Natural Health from Clayton College of Natural Health, is a licensed massage therapist, and is a Wellcoach certified health and wellness coach. She has carefully saved the many recipes she used in her restaurants and cooking classes that her customers and students loved. These have been compiled into a cookbook hot off the presses, “Cooking with Chloe,” sold on Amazon. She continues to educate herself in the natural health field. Chloe is the CEO of Full Circle of Wellness, an Arizona non-profit corporation.
