Inspiration to Order: Cedar Sigo and Simon Wolf read Occasional Objects


Immerse yourself in an evening of poetic synergy with Cedar Sigo and Simon Wolf at the release reading of their collaborative chapbook, "Occasional Objects." Experience the joy and discoveries of what happens when two poets write and edit together. Join us to hear Cedar Sigo and Simon Wolf read from "Occasional Objects" while also sharing their newest and evolving works. Doors at 6:30. Cedar Sigo was raised on the Suquamish Reservation in the Pacific Northwest and studied at The Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at the Naropa Institute. He is the author of eight books and pamphlets of poetry, including Language Arts (Wave Books, 2014), Stranger in Town (City Lights, 2010), Expensive Magic (House Press, 2008), two editions of Selected Writings (Ugly Duckling Presse, 2003 and 2005) and most recently the Bagley Wright Lecture Series book Guard the Mysteries (Wave Books, 2021). He has taught workshops at St. Mary’s College, Naropa University and University Press Books. He is currently a mentor in the low residency MFA program at The Institute of American Indian Arts. He lives in Lofall, Washington. Simon Wolf is a poet and teaching artist in Seattle, WA. His projects include: This City Takes a River, a visual chapbook of poems deeply rooted in the waters and banks of the Duwamish River. He has been published with Clamor and Inkwell journals, Better Than Starbucks and Leveler Poetry. Simon has taught at the Hugo House, and led workshops at the Center School and Maritime High Schools. He has his MFA in creative Writing and Poetics from the University of Washington Bothell. Simon hosts a monthly community writing circle on Capitol Hill. Limited illuminated chapbooks will be available.
