Inkwash Workshop: The Meditative Practice of Painting with Ink - with Julia van der Wyk
Experience the joyful and calming rewards of this simple and immediate medium. If you’ve never taken an art class before, this is the perfect way to start your creative life. If you are an experienced artist, you’ll come away with new techniques and ideas to use in your next project.
In your materials kit, you’ll receive a quality paintbrush, sumi ink, water and ink containers, and paper to use in class... and beyond!
Express yourself with brush and ink:
Students will learn basic brush skills, experiment with water and paper, and create an art piece in this hands-on workshop. These skills can be applied to any subject matter or art style.
Bring an object for still life, or paint from memory and imagination. Wear clothes that would be ok if some ink got on them. :)
