IDIA Dance Festival

IDIA – I Dance, Hence I Am – returns for its 9th Annual Festival of Dance on 15–16 August 2026 at the Cubberley Theatre, Palo Alto, California. Over two days, the festival will bring together distinguished performers, acclaimed teachers, emerging artists, and dance enthusiasts for a celebration of Indian classical dance through performances, interactive sessions, and artistic dialogue. This year's festival features an exceptional line-up of artists including Nritya Kalanidhi Smt. Bragha Bessell, Meenakshi Srinivasan, Deepa Mahadevan & Kaustavi Sarkar, along with a special Junior Showcase and performances by promising Bay Area soloists: Roopa Suresh, Snigdha Venkataramani and Lekshmi Sarath. Audiences will also have the opportunity to participate in interactive sessions led by Dr. Divya Raghavan and Meenakshi Srinivasan, offering unique insights into dance, movement, and artistic practice.
