Take part in thought-provoking discussions led by Jennifer Orr, co-author of We're Gonna Keep on Talking: How to Lead Meaningful Race Conversations in the Elementary Classroom.
Even our youngest learners have questions about race, both historically and in their current lives. As an educator, you need to be prepared and capable to facilitate conversations around these questions in your classroom. In this workshop, you'll explore strategies for building community and trust before engaging in these conversations. This includes identifying children's books that can prompt and support race conversations.
Attend in-person in Cambridge, MA or virtually for each session. Registration includes a copy of We're Gonna Keep on Talking and access to the recording until July 1, 2024.
This workshop is part of a larger series designed to deepen your understanding of how to cultivate anti-bias and anti-racist practices in classrooms and schools. You may register for this individual workshop or the three-part series. Each workshop is $199 and the full series is $499. Save $50 on the complete series through 12/15 with the code EARLY50.
