Texans Care Volunteer Day presented by Chevron • Date: Saturday, May 20 • Time: 8 a.m. • Event info: You are invited to the 11th annual Texans Care Volunteer Day presented by Chevron, a city-wide event where Texans players, Cheerleaders, Legends, TORO, leadership and staff volunteer alongside Texans fans to inspire hope in H-Town! Volunteers will spend the morning at five organizations that work to improve the lives of young people across the city in order to fulfill the Texans Foundation’s mission to be Champions for Youth. To learn more and sign up to volunteer at a location, visit www.HoustonTexans.com/TCVD. o Houston Food Bank – Volunteers will sort, pack, clean and/or repackage food for distribution. The Houston Food Bank distributes 122 million meals a year with the help of their dedicated volunteers. o Boys & Girls Club of Greater Houston – Volunteers will help distribute much-needed food items to surrounding community members via the drive-thru Chevron Market Pantry. o Casa de Esperanza de los Ninos – Volunteers will enjoy landscaping, cleaning, and painting playgrounds. o YMCA Camp Cinco – Volunteers will help with projects like power washing, painting and more. o AAMA George I. Sanchez Bright Beginnings Center – Volunteers will help with landscaping, gardening, playground cleanup and more. o Age requirements to volunteer: Houston Food Bank is 6+, all other sites are 16+ except Casa de Esperanza which is 18+.
