Housing, Race, and Equity Workshop
Community Invited to Engage in Workshop on Housing, Race, and Equity
Mequon, WI — Crossroads Presbyterian Church invites the community to join an insightful workshop on housing, race, and equity, scheduled for Sunday, March 9, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. This event will be held at Crossroads, located at 6031 W. Chapel Hill Road, at the northwest corner of Green Bay and Highland Roads.
This interactive workshop offers the opportunity to explore the influence of local history on housing patterns. Participants will examine primary sources and data maps to uncover how deliberate institutional decisions have led to segregated housing and the tangible effects these decisions have had on the Milwaukee Metro area. In addition to analyzing recent housing trends, the workshop offers a chance to make a commitment to affordable housing and provides practical steps to take immediate action.
Beth Van Gorp, Director of Advocacy & Government Relations at Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity, will lead the session. She will facilitate engaging discussions, share her expert insights, and explore actionable solutions with participants.
