Described as “Radiohead Meets Riverdance”, House of Hamill’s music is Celtic-inspired, exciting and unpredictable. They occupy a space between traditional Irish music and sophisticated indie/pop.
Whether House of Hamill is playing songs from their debut album 'Wide Awake' (2016) or stomping through a set of original jigs and reels from their follow-up 'March Through Storms' (2018), their chemistry onstage is always engaging and often hilarious. Spend an hour listening and you'll leave with tired feet, a huge smile, and a new appreciation for the versatility of folk instruments in a modern context.
Jamey's House of Music is a superbly crafted intimate 60 seat venue for live music set in a comfortable, world class BYOB listening room and café.
The kitchen opens at 6 pm on show nights, and offers a delicious and modestly priced Asian inspired cafe menu that changes frequently, with plenty of vegetarian options along with handmade mini cheesecakes by Kia's Cakes, fresh brewed coffees from Green Street Coffee Roasters, assorted espressos, and cold drinks. BYOB is welcome. Food will be available before and during performances for concert ticket holders (purchased online or at the door) and may be enjoyed comfortably at dining tables in our separate dining room. No additional reservation is needed.
Jamey’s House of Music is a non-smoking, 21 and up listening room venue and older children are welcome if accompanied by a parent.
Free parking is available on-street, and in nearby parking lots. Public transportation is easily accessible... we are right next to the SEPTA train station on the Media-Elwyn line, and the 101, 102, 109, 113, 115 buses stop nearby.
Reservations: Discounted advance price reservations may be purchased securely online. Box office sales are available when doors open, and are full price. Seating is general admission. We do not use physical tickets. When you purchase the advance discount reservations online, your name is automatically placed on the will-call list for the show you selected. All you need to do is give your name at the door when you arrive for the performance.
