House Concert in Livermore -- The Fred Randolph Quintet
Bassist/Composer/Band leader Fred Randolph brings his fiery quintet to Livermore Jazz Society’s “Music on the Hill” series for a return engagement on Sunday, June 22nd. The group has recorded 4 cds: “Learning Curve”, “New Day”, “Song Without Singing” and its most recent offering “Mood Walk”.
JW magazine says of Mood Walk: “Stylistically eclectic, supremely grooving, endlessly fascinating masterwork... a rambunctious, twist, turn and improvisation-filled set.”
Joining Fred will be some of the most in-demand musicians on the scene:
Ian Carey — trumpet
Sheldon Brown — woodwinds
Murray Low — piano
Fred Randolph — bass, compositions
