WHO: Walter Iooss legendary American Photographer; Dr. Jennifer Reynolds-Kaye, Director of the Housatonic Museum of Art (HMA); Kristy Jelenik, Executive Director of Housatonic College Community Foundation (HCCF); Judith Corprew, HCCF Board President and EVP Chief Compliance of Patriot Bank; Kathryn Leann Harris, Curator of Interpreting Sports; art enthusiasts, students, and community members.
WHAT: The Housatonic College Community Foundation is proud to announce that the Housatonic Museum of Art will unveil its latest exhibition, "The Making of an Icon: Walter Iooss and Sports Photography," from March 6 to August 2, 2024. Dive into the world of sports and photography with Walter Iooss, who is a well-known for his photography of iconic athletic champions. This vibrant showcase, curated by Kathryn Leann Harris and Douglas Stark, highlights the iconic work of Walter Iooss, capturing the essence of sports legends. Experience the power of athletic achievements and their legendary stories through Iooss's lens. Supported by CT Humanities, this exhibition promises a unique blend of art, sports, and community spirit.
WHEN: Opening event on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, from 3:30pm-5:30pm.
