Hoops & Hops
Mercy Neighborhood Ministries, located in Walnut Hills, excels at stabilizing and improving the quality of life for those living in disadvantaged circumstances. We employ a unique approach to workforce development and aging population assistance through supporting individuals as they progress toward self-sufficiency through our adult education, job skills training, and employment programs. In addition, MNM assists seniors to remain living independently in the community for as long as possible through our senior and home care services.
Mercy Neighborhood Ministries is once again hosting one of the most exciting and unique fundraising events in Cincinnati! The 2024 Annual Hoops & Hops will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm on one of the biggest nights of the year for the NCAA college men’s basketball tournament. Attendees can watch the games on a large screen television at Purcell Marian High School while enjoying their favorite beer, basketball contests and plenty of tasty food bites. Entry at the door the night of Hoops & Hops is $10 and individuals must be 21 to attend. The signature event of the evening is the $10,000 Half-Court Shot Contest. Participating teams will designate team members to take half-court shots and the winning team will take home the grand prize of $10,000.
The funds raised will provide critical unrestricted support for our workforce development programs. With your help, economically disadvantaged people in our community can expand their education, prepare for and find meaningful employment, and better their overall quality of life.
