Home for the Holidays Benefit Concert
On Friday, December 27 at 1 p.m., St. Louis musicians who are attending colleges around the country and in Europe will celebrate the holiday season in their hometown with a special Christmas concert to benefit Midtown Community Services' Family PRIDE program, which helps give babies their healthiest start to life.
Hosted by sisters Ruth and Elly Christopher, the 4th Annual Home for the Holidays concert features 15 performers, many of whom are pursuing music performance degrees at colleges, including Julliard, University of California, Berkeley, William Patterson University, Indiana University, Roosevelt University, and McGill University.
The concert is free to attend, but donations will be accepted that day to support Midtown Family PRIDE. Founded in 1993 to address infant and maternal mortality rates in St. Louis, Family PRIDE empowers new parents to advocate for their families and create healthier outcomes for their babies. The program includes free home visits, doula care, group and individual therapy, parenting workshops, and school-readiness playgroups for children.
