Herbal Tea Workshop at Carnation Farms
Get your favorite tea mug ready! Join herbalist Rosa Vissers for a hands-on herbal tea blending workshop on the farm. Engage all your senses as we sip, smell, and discuss the fundamentals of herbal tea blending. Let’s slow down our pace, connect with some incredible (and delicious) plants, and mix your own unique herbal tea blend.
What we’ll cover:
· Different preparation methods (infusion, decoction, hot or cold)
· Tasting a variety of herbal teas
· Conversation about a variety of herbs and why you may want to add them to your tea
· Balancing your herbal blend for flavor and function
· Creating your very own tea blend
All materials included: herbal tea tastings, a detailed handout, and your own blend.
This class will occur in conjunction with the Carnation Farms Harvest Market. Stop by the market before or after the class for hot food from the culinary team, tons of local artisan vendors, and plenty of autumn cheer.
