Helping Hands For Healthy Communities Inaugural Fundraising Gala
According to the US Census Bureau, 22.1% of Florida’s population is foreign-born.
As expected, moving to another country elicits mixed emotions, such as excitement, fear, and uncertainty. Helping Hands For Healthy Communities will host its Inaugural Fundraising Gala on October 12, 2024, at the Wellington Community Center Ballroom to raise funds to help new immigrants become acclimated to their new life in Florida.
“My passion for founding this organization is simple, says Erla Pierre, “A few years ago, I interacted with a woman from Ukraine outside a local food store who needed help buying milk for her baby. I helped her but felt I could have done more for her.”
Gala guests will enjoy a wonderful evening with food, entertainment, and raffle prizes. They will also hear from mental health expert Dr. Sainvilus Point Dujour and motivational speaker Chris B. Williams. Local Businesswoman Ladi March-Goldwire will serve as emcee for the night.
Tickets range from $125 to $250 and are still available.
