Health and Medical 101
Health and Medical 101: Is for those thinking about and/or planning a future in the medical field. The class provides high school students and newly graduated students an opportunity to get a boost on their career goals, build their resume, and prepare for future Health and Medical classes at FCPS ACE or College. This course is designed to support learners interested in going into medical training to get a deep background on the material. Students planning on college track programs such as Registered Nurse, Physician and Veterinarian can benefit from the immersion in medical terminology related to anatomy and medical procedures so that they can hit the ground running. Students also find out what learning experiences and externships are available for resume and experience building and earn their Heartsaver CRP certification. Instructed by the Head of FCPS ACE’s Health and Medical program, Jerry Hinn. The class is 14 sessions, runs 8/23/2025 - 12/6/2025, weekly on Saturdays from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the Plum Center 6815 Edsall Rd, Springfield, VA. To register: http://bit.ly/44j8bid
