Healing Soul Wounds: Moral Injury in Combat Vets and Other Professionals
Moral injury is the term used for the emotional and spiritual wounds of combat veterans when under difficult circumstances, they violate their own moral code or witness this violation. Some public service providers, such as health care professionals, teachers, firefighters, and police officers, also experience moral injury. This workshop will cover how moral injury happens and will describe pathways for healing moral injury.
Open to social workers, nurses, mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists, substance abuse counselors, and the public: students, educators, clergy, service members, veterans, and military families.
