This spectacular fin de siècle masterpiece returns in a production staged by multi Olivier Award winning director Richard Jones, marking its long awaited return after not being performed at Covent Garden since 2004. Elīna Garanča stars as the Philistine Dalila, with SeokJong Baek as the heroic Samson, alongside a talented cast including Łukasz Goliński, Alan Pingarrón, Chuma Sijeqa, Thando Mjandana, Blaise Malaba, and Goderdzi Janelidze.
Conducted by Antonio Pappano with the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, the performance features superb singing in solos and duets filled with intimacy and fervour, supported by gorgeous music and thrilling orchestral interludes. The production also showcases powerful choral numbers performed by the Royal Opera Chorus, adding depth and grandeur to the experience.
