MARIETTA RESTORATION ASSOCIATES (MRA) HOSTS FREE HAUNTED HOUSE
Thousands of visitors have been frightened and entertained by the haunted house at the historic Union Meeting House in years past. The free event will be held again on Friday, October 27th and Saturday, October 28th. Food trucks and a variety of vendors will be on site.
A Marietta Halloween tradition continues: On Friday, October 27th and Saturday, October 28th, Marietta Restoration Associates will host the annual haunted house at the historic Union Meeting House! Under the supervision of Creative Director Willis Boyles and his family, the haunted house has spooked and amazed literally thousands of guests since 2019 and promises to once again provide a frighteningly good time to those brave enough to visit. Along with the haunted house this year there will be many spooky food trucks and vendors to add to the event.
The haunted house will be open from 6:00-9:00 P.M. on the 27th and 28th. A less scary version of the haunted house for younger kids will be offered between 6:00-7:00 both nights, with the terrifying full version happening from 7:00-9:00.
The Union Meeting House is located at 82 North Waterford Avenue in historic Marietta, Lancaster County. Built in 1818, the Union Meeting House served as a church for numerous congregations over the years. Marietta Restoration Associates (MRA), a non-profit community organization, was given a 99-year lease on the building from the Borough of Marietta in 1984. Since that time, MRA has overseen improvements and restorations to the Union Meeting House to preserve it and incorporate it into the fabric of Marietta life.
The haunted house is free and open to the public. Voluntary donations will be accepted to support MRA projects at the Union Meeting House including further renovations and future haunted houses.
