‘Hamlet in Bensonhurst’
A reading of “Hamlet in Bensonhurst” by Joan Ross Sorkin was rescheduled due to weather on Oct. 7. The new date and location for Sorkin’s reimagining of Shakespeare’s “Hamlet,” set in a Jewish family in Brooklyn in 1969 in the shadow of the Vietnam War, is Monday, Oct. 30, at 7:30 p.m.
The reading will be held at Scarsdale Public Library, 54 Olmsted Road. Admission is free, but reservations are required at [email protected]; send name, number of tickets and email address. Confirmation will follow.
The cast includes Will DeVary, Ginger Grace, Tim Jerome, John McGowan, Carole Monfredini, Mikey Marmann, Rita Neidich, Allison Sheff and Niko Touros. A talk-back follows the reading.
