Halloween Pub Crawl: Dia De Los Muertos

By Sunday afternoon, San Francisco has already spent days celebrating Halloween. Costumes have appeared on sidewalks, dance floors have stayed busy and bars have welcomed thousands of people looking for a good time. Most weekends would be winding down. Crawloween still has one more event to go. The Día de los Muertos Pub Crawl arrives on Sunday, November 1, as the final day of CrawlSF’s four-part Halloween series. From 4PM to 10PM, participants will gather along Polk Street for drink specials, DJs, contests and a last chance to wear their costumes before the weekend ends. Everything begins at Mayes Oyster House. The longtime Polk Street gathering place will serve as the check-in location, where guests can get the information they need before starting the crawl. From there, the evening opens up across participating bars including McTeague’s Saloon, El Lopo, Music City Starfactory, Wreck Room, Uni Pizza, Decodance, Lush Lounge and Beso Mae. There is no single way to experience the event. Some groups will want to visit as many participating bars as possible. Others may find a few favorite stops and settle in for longer visits. One part of the group may want to dance, while another may be ready for pizza and a quieter drink. With a varied collection of bars on the schedule, everyone can shape the evening to fit their own pace. Pub Crawl Details Date: Sunday, November 1, 2026 Hours: 4PM to 10PM Check-In Location: Mayes Oyster House Address: 1233 Polk Street, San Francisco, CA 94109 Sunday’s event is tied to the Crawloween series, but it carries a theme separate from the three Halloween pub crawls that come before it. Día de los Muertos is a holiday of remembrance that honors relatives and loved ones who have died. It is connected to family, memory and the continuing relationship between people and those they have lost. Participants are welcome to wear Halloween costumes. Those who wish to wear Día de los Muertos attire or traditional skull makeup may also do so, provided the choice is thoughtful and respectful. The holiday’s imagery should not be presented as a joke, parody or stereotype. Guests do not need to dress for the specific theme. A creative Halloween costume remains completely appropriate for the pub crawl, and anyone who wants a simpler evening can attend without an elaborate outfit. CrawlSF will provide access to drink specials at participating locations, along with free admission to the included bars during the scheduled hours. DJs, contests, party favors and other entertainment will continue through the evening. Crawloween 2026 begins on Saturday, October 24, and returns for two more events on Friday, October 30, and Saturday, October 31. The Día de los Muertos Pub Crawl brings the entire series to a close on Sunday, November 1. It is the final round, the final costume and the final chance to be part of CrawlSF’s biggest Halloween celebration of the year.
