Guided Hike of Boca Negra Canyon
Boca Negra Canyon consists of 3 small trails that add up to 1 mile roundtrip. This tour includes all 3 trails: Mesa Point trail, Cliff Base trail, and Macaw Trail. See up to 100 petroglyphs in this 1.5-hour tour. Although the trails are short, Mesa Point trail is a steep climb up the volcanic escarpment. Wear comfortable hiking/walking shoes with good ankle support. Binoculars may be helpful for birdwatching. Ask your local library about borrowing a birding kit for free. Bring plenty of water with you and dress for the weather. Wear sun protection. Restrooms, a water bottle-filling station, shade, and picnic tables are available.
