Guest Author Presentation
In honor of Thomas Edison’s birthday, author Alexandra Rimer will return to speak about the birthday celebrations that Mina Edison held for her husband, Thomas. Rimer is the author of the recently published book, "Seduced by the Light." This is the first and only biography of Mina Miller Edison, the wife of Thomas Edison.
This presentation is free and open to Edison & Ford volunteers and the public and will be held in the South Florida Water Management District building at 2301 McGregor Boulevard, Fort Myers, FL 33901 (next to Edison and Ford Winter Estates). Alexandra Rimer has been an Assistant Editor at the Thomas Edison Papers at Rutgers University since 2005. She is a co-recipient of the Eugene S. Ferguson Prize (Papers of Thomas A. Edison), Society for the History of Technology, 2005. She is a frequent lecturer on Mina Miller Edison.
